Are you dating someone who’s full of himself? Self-obsessed? Basically a narcissist? Did you know that they can be the toughest personalities to deal with in relationships? Well, rule #1: Never make the mistake of changing them or helping them, because guess what? Narcissism is actually a mental disorder! So, it’s advisable to consult a therapist, before you try to.
Now, let’s get to the point, shall we?
Game #1: Mr. Do You Know Who I Am?
They have a misconception of the world coming to an end if they wouldn’t have existed. At least, that’s what they want you to believe in.
If you ever get a chance to date a narcissist, brace yourselves for unlimited boasting, name dropping, followed by everything they have, they need, and just every other thing, you wouldn’t want to talk to someone else about to avoid making the other person feel uncomfortable.
The entire conversation, most of the times, is one-sided. And to add on to that, it’s always about them and their achievements. They’re impatient, vain and pompous wait-person, and tend to lose their cool, easily!
Game #2: Mr. Empathy Doesn’t Exist In My Dictionary
Let us warn you here… If you’re ever feeling down, and the day is not in your favor, do NOT expect them to show any empathy. They simply lack it.
They are experts at belittling the people around them especially during the time when you need them the most. Consider this as one of the biggest warnings. Belittling others should nowhere be on the list if you’re dating a guy. Think again.
Narcissists enjoy belittling others and they feel better about themselves. What’s more? They feel inferior, and act superior to those around them. It’s time to check again if you still want to spend time with a self-centered person.
Game #3: Mr. I Have The Control and No One Else
As much as their attractive personalities, they can tend to promise you things that are just impossible. Let’s take the moon and the stars for an example. They know how to entrap you so you do exactly what they want. The very instant when you stop doing what you’re told to do, they’ll start losing their calm. And, if you choose to part ways with them, they throw you away and tell the world that they were victimized.
Though you have been in relationships by dating a narcissistic man, we can’t just blame them for who they are, they too, have been victimized. They truly require professional help.
